Why Green Avenue?
Our mission is to do the ultimate best for clients to help them reach their fundraising goals.
We started in August of 2016 in Central Indiana with our founder and one client. We’re excited to now be a team of five working with 13 clients – and the list is growing.
In 2021 we changed our name to Green Avenue to reflect the numerous services we offer. We go beyond grant research and proposals to help clients with crowdfunding, strategic and development plans, sponsorships, major gifts, and more! We love what we do.
We take pride in not just our grant writing efforts, but relationship building as well, which is key to fundraising. Funders no longer want to just “write a check”, but be involved with organizations and their programs in numerous other ways.
We offer:
Basic Services – For non-profits who need a one-time “push” to help get started on the road to receiving grants
Grant Writing Services – Green Avenue can assist with proofreading/editing, a one-time written proposal, or a consultant to help an organization year-round.
Fundraising Services - Whether it’s reviewing one of your fundraising programs for effectiveness, developing an annual fundraising plan, donor solicitation planning, board development, or developing various fundraising vehicles, we can help.
We offer much more and are looking forward to talking to you to see if what you need is within our scope.
Please take a moment to get to know us and feel free to reach out with questions.
With Enthusiasm,
Amy Shankland, GPC, Chief Grant Getter
FAQ
Below are some commonly asked questions
Why should I hire a consultant?
Hiring a grant/fundraising consultant enables you to focus on your mission, programming, and other aspects of your non-profit. We become a part of your team and can give you an outside perspective! We also save you time and money.
Do you work on commission?
This is a common myth in our profession. For numerous ethical reasons, grant consultants do not work on commission. Green Avenue, however, is happy to discuss our pricing with you to help us fit within your budget.
Can you help me become “grant ready”?
Yes! We have numerous free resources we can share to help you prepare to apply for grants. Not all non-profits are ready for this stage. We’re happy to help you get on that path, whether or not you hire us.
When do you meet with potential new clients?
Currently, we meet with potential clients on the first Monday of the month in the afternoon via Google Meet.
